Lars Ulrich born in December 26 1963, is one of the founders of one of the top three metal bands of world history,none other than Metallica. He is a Danish drummer he was a promising tennis player and then moved to Los Angeles for training, and ended as a drummer, he published an advertisement and met James Hetfield(rythm guitar/vocals) and started Metallica.
Lars was influenced by the band Deep purple, since he attended their concert when he was still a 9 year old. He then bought their album Fireball, then at age twelve he recieved his first drum kit
from his granny, but because of his focused style of drumming he dropped the 9 drum kit to a 7 drum kit.
His unique style has chaged along with Metallica. On th early eighty`s he performed fast and complex beats howevwer from the nintey`s on he has simplified his rythms according to the bands need. Nowaday in Metallicas last album Death Magnetic Lars is returning to his agressive beats of the eighty`s.
Lars has achieved many things by being part of Metallica, many awards that finally got the whole band inducted to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, making Lars the first Danish person to recieve this honor.
